Revenues to the state of Wyoming dropped sharply when prices in the energy sector dropped in 2015 and 2016, resulting in cuts to the state budget. Wyoming derives the biggest share of its state revenues from coal, petroleum and natural gas. An energy economics professor at the University of Wyoming, Dr. Robert Godby discusses recent declines in the state’s oil, natural gas and coal industries. He talks about causes of those downturns and what the changes suggest for the future. Recorded Oct. 14, 2016.
